A Review of our Hawaii Vacation Till Now; February 5-6, 2008



Tuesday, February 5th: Sorry if this blog sounds like we only ate our way through Hawaii...but here's a culinary highlight; Mama's Fish House in Paia. After watching the morning surfers at Hookapi beach we got our beach-side window seat at Mama's. We had tomato bisque, Polynesian beef in a papaya shell (see pic), chilled cucumber mint soup, mahi mahi stuffed with crab and lobster, banana macademia nut cobbler, and chocolate mousse pie on an Oreo caramel crust. Back at the hotel we hit the hot tub and wandered (sneaked) over to the Grand Wailea Resort (unbelievable extravagance/decadence) for a late night stroll.
Wednesday, February 6th: We snorkeled Makena Landing again. Gorgeous fish and more turtles. In the afternoon we hung out at the pool and hot tub. We grabbed some more food at Da Kitchen and chased it down with macadamia nut ice cream.
