Feb. 1, 2008, Lahaina, HI

We arrived in Maui late Thursday, Feb. 1st. On Friday we drove up the coast to Lahaina. We were on a hunt for Kimo's restaurant and their highly recommended pork fajita's and Hula pie for dessert (macademia nut ice cream on an Oreo crust covered with oozing chocolate, nuts, and topped with whipped cream). Ymmm!
After that indulgence we walked Lahaina town down to the town square and the main dock. Sue took some pics of the Ginormous banyan tree. We enjoyed the ambiance of the town with its art stores and shops. We even met some artists! There was some kind of Navy cruiser anchored off the coast between us and Lanai. We headed back to our hotel in Wailea (the Marriott).
